Teachers' Day 2013

Teachers' Day is celebrated on 20 Nov in Vietnam. It is an important day as Vietnamese hold a high regard for teachers, unlike in many countries where Teachers' Day has been relegated to just another activity on the school calendar. Here, teachers receive present and flowers from parents and students alike. Make-shift flower stalls prop up overnight all over the streets in Ho Chi Minh City.

In ASYC, we hold a concert in honour of our teachers. But teachers had to work for their own concert preparing their children for their respective concert items. We want to give thanks and appreciation for all the hard work and effort that they have put in for their students and for the school. Thank you very much, ASYC teachers - we truly appreciate you. And the supporting staff are not forgotten too as they are also treated as teachers in every respect in this school. And to top it all, we had a nice lunch and a karaoke session to let our hair down, one of the few times in a year.
