ASYC has come a long way from our opening day on 8 Jun 2009. It's been four years and we have now a full 8 classes. Mr Ben would like to thank all staff, past and present, who have contributed to the success of ASYC. As for tonight, let's just have a great time.

OUP Global Sing-along 2013 Competition

ASYC, together with TAK, has submitted our music video entries for the competition. We believe we are the first school in Vietnam to join this global competition. ASYC Graduation Concert 2013

Another year has passed us by and we have served the Binh Tan community for 4 years since 2009. As our students grow up, we can't help but feel sad that they have grown so quickly and will be leaving us for their primary education. We wish them well and thank all parents of graduating classes for the support they have given us.

We would also like to thank the staff and teachers of ASYC for the tremendous efforts that they have put into the preparation of the concert. More importantly, it is the unseen efforts that ensured the success of the concert. Who put up the huge backdrop, the decorations, the balloons, the hundreds of chairs? Who cleared the chairs, took down the backdrop, cleaned up the place, brought everything back to class? Who prepared all the presents, prizes, documents, books etc for all the students? There are so many people to thank. Thank you, everyone at ASYC, for the wonderful teamwork and spirit. Have a good break!

Looking back at School Year 2012/2013

The school year has passed us by in a flash. Looking back, we certainly had lots of fun in school. Here are some of the major celebrations we have had in ASYC in School Year 2012/2013

OUP preparation

This week, teachers and students of K1 and K2 classes worked very hard on the OUP competition. It is quite tiring for the children to sit around waiting for their turns, and then singing and acting repeatedly in order to get their act together. Kudos to K1 and K2 teachers for being so patient with your students and for working so hard on the props. Our thanks and appreciation to Ms Thuan for opening up her house to us to film. Thank you, Ms Thuan. The completed videos should be out in a week or two. We will keep you informed once they're uploaded onto the competition site on YouTube.

Education Standards

ASYC has put up new boards showing the education standards required of a kindergarten at various levels. This is part of our communication plan to keep parents informed of the requirements.

Prep for OUP Sing-a-long 2013 Competition

ASYC will be submitting 2 entries for this international competition to represent Vietnam. Seems like there was no VN rep in the 2012 competition. Our K1 and K2 students are practicing hard and their teachers are working even harder to get them ready for filming. This adds to the variety of activities that we have in ASYC, and this competition is definitely a lot different from our usual programmes.

We will also be participating in the World Handwriting Contest - another international competition. Vietnamese have one of the most beautiful handwritings in the world, simply because they work very hard at their penmanship from young. So what better way to show off their handwriting skills than to participate in a competition? We hope our young contestants will do well.
